The new SVM mixer completes Pioneer's visual offering for the moment, and signifies an important new step in DJ-land. Manipulating video is made easy and accessible; but fact is that not much content is available today. Audio Illustrated hence sets the scene for a whole range of more audio-visual oriented outlets, setting the tone for what is possibly the next step in the evolution of the 'traditional' DJ.

Audio Illustrated is an audio-visual label that combines electronic dance music with the work of several professional VJ''s to create a new audio-visual experience. Music and video totally coming together as one. These audio-visual productions will be released on the label as DVD''s for mixing on Pioneer DVJ-1000''s.

During the Amsterdam Dance Event label founders Cenk Unis & Martin de Toustain will release their first DVD''s by playing them live on stage. Alongside the mixture of great music with artists like Johannes Heil, Oliver Huntemann, Jason Lanox, Arter and Robert Powlson the visuals will have an significant roll during the entire party.

In the main room Kleurbleur, E202 and Reach Visuals will rock the party visually on multiple screens. The Audio Visual Experience room will be as the name says specialized in Audiovisual performances. Visual artist making music? Expect experimental beats, electro-minimalist and really synchronized visuals. Want to see (and hear) how this all comes together? Come to the release party on Thursday the 18^th of October at Club Odeon.

In March this year the First BeamLab evening took place and BeamLab has been the evening for moving images every 2 months since then. During this evening Pakhuis de Zwijger is the place for exchanging ideas, inspiration and starting of new partnerships in the area of moving images.

On the 21^st of November the theme of the evening is: what does the integration of sound and video mean for a VJ? During this evening Virtual Events will be one of the presenters introducing Audio Illustrated.

19 April 2008, 365mag organizes one more interactive workshop @ SugarFac Amsterdam. It will lead to a battle of different production platforms, Reason, Ableton and Cubase. Cenk Unis from Eye-Fi will explain why they choose Reason as rack of synths, will show a lot of tricks behind the interface. If you are in to production, DONT MISS IT.

After the smashing First night with Oliver Huntemann and Johannes Heil ( Live) during the Amsterdam Dance Weekend, Audio Illustrated is back with a line up that makes you already drawl, Holland's first Audio Visual Dance label will show it's face in 2008!

On April 11^th, Studio80 will open its doors for a very special audio-visual spectacle. The former VPRO studio, much known for its great sound system and spot on programming, will be pimped by the guys from Audio Illustrated with beamers, effects and screens, while the dj booth will be equipped with the new Pioneer DVJ gear.

The first of a new series of club nights by Audio Illustrated is all about cutting edge visuals, combined with today's hottest sounds, the latest technology and audio visual talents. Up and coming DVJ act  Eye Fi aka Cenk Unis ( Audio Illustrated), Jason Lanox, Duotone en French artist extra ordinaries Anima are being represented from Audio Illustrated.

Besides that we have Wunderkind Petter Nordkvist from James Holden's imprint "Border Community" Only 23 years of age, Petter is considered one of the hottest producers from around the world. His first release "These Days" that he wrote when he was just 17 is still considered a masterpiece and ever since his first release it's been one rollercoaster of fresh and innovating sounds and grooves, leaving everybody speechless. His latest piece de resistance "Some Polyphony" has been a major crossover hit all over the world. At the moment, Petter is busy working on his first artists album for James Holden's Border Community and it's with great pride that Audio Illustrated presents Petter on the 11^th of aril.

VJ's E202 and Kleurbleur will paint the pictures on the walls this night. Less is more, so keep an eye out for the crazy world of these innovating artists.

Amsterdam's favorite Robert Powlson, backed by Tommy Kornuit and Tom Datema will bring the best in Minimal Techno. Last but not least , art collective Bier en Brood will have themselves inspired during the night for a live art piece!

Koninginnedag begint vroeg dit jaar…

Vanaf 07.00 uur in de morgen opent “Suite” haar deuren voor een ongekend gezellig start van de dag of een fijne tussenstop mocht je van Koninginnenacht naar Koninginnedag willen doorfeesten!

“Suite” is bij uitstek geschikt om relaxt je Koninginnedag in te luiden met volop gelegenheid om te chillen of een danspasje te wagen… Lekker binnen, dus weer of geen weer, bij “Suite” zit je goed!

We starten de ochtend met Groove Collection’s toppers Jerry van Schei & Fountain gevolgd door de twee donderdagavond residents en bloedmooie duo Anoesjka & Kisakye. 

We vervolgen de ochtend met een wel heel speciale gast vanuit de US of A: Randall Jones!

DJ Esther zal het feest op passende wijze afsluiten tot in de vroege middag!

After having 15 years of experience in entertainment sector , they brought their knowledge in live electronic music together and formed this label.

Their international approach and attention to the latest technological developments, has once again given them the opportunity of combining electronic dance music with the works of several professional VJ's , resulting in a revolutionary audio-visual experience.
Audio and video truly come together as one. At the release party during Amsterdam Dance Events Unis & Toustain have been among the producers from "Audio Illustrated" featuring their latest work and mixing it live on stage.

Label Manager
A man who is over 20 years in the bizniz. Owner of record labels, the musicmind behind bigpapas like Extrema. Peter believes in long term goals, honest artist management and a clear vision for the future of dance music, which might be something most people not only lack, but maybe logically, do not even have the balls for these days.

Roman Azzaro a.K.a Anima, which means soul in Italian with rock n roll as his roots. This young producer from Paris bring us deep and low minimal techno. He also works on experimental ambient sound. He is wellknown with his rocking livesets.

His crew and parties called Art Fact are slowly taking Paris over with his international.

She studied design a bit and then interactive media and visual effects at the filmacademy in Amsterdam. Now she works for a company called Virtual Events as a 2/3D animator. She makes lots of 3D projection for fairs and VJ (like) shows.

In her spare time she VJs and films a lot, she makes her own animations, and VJ material which she combines with selected film material or realtime video. She loves layers, synchrony with music, dance, altering perception and associative images.

The E202 vj-crew merges atmosphere, futuristic architecture and audiovisual synchronization in the design of their motion graphics.

Starting of in 1999 E202 gained experience and respect in the field of music visualization, aiming to set a new standard in the world of vj'ing and motion graphics.

VJ Collective Reach Visuals consist of Remko Catersels, Ronald Lander and Andy Godschalk.

After almost 10 years of hard work, Reach Visuals is one of the most sought after vj-collectives in the world.

Founding father and graphic designer Andy Godschalk is the big man behind Reach Visuals. His vision, skills and energy make sure that people are still amazed with Reach’s contemporary productions. Remko Catersels is the technician of Reach Visuals and Ronald Lander is a multi-media talent specialised in interactive visuals, graduated at the Willem the Kooning Academy of Arts in Rotterdam, NL.

They’ve already performed in clubs and festivals across the globe; clubs such as Now&Wow, Nighttown, Off Corso, Escape, Melkweg(The Netherlands),Cocoon Club, Maria am Ostbahnhof(Germany) and festivals like SonneMondSterne, Green&Blue (Germany) and Klubbersday (Spain) to name a few.

Clubbers around the world demand a full audiovisual experience these days and Reach Visuals achieves this by using self-shot video footage projects, computer animated 2D and 3D graphics and visual effects.

Integrating contrasting material from sources as diverse as industry, architecture and nature to form a synergetic whole with up-tempo technological music during their energetic live performances.

Phil has come from a 3D Computer Animation and 2D Digital Art background. His focus is on creating an intence and exillerating, Eye Candy experience.
